Roxanne Kleinschmidt, age 50, of Merrill, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Roxanne was born October 8, 1960, in Elgin, Illinois, daughter of the late Earl Kleinschmidt and Irene (Sjurset) Guerin, Merrill. Although she was physically challenged, Roxanne enjoyed volunteering at Pine Crest Nursing Home where she had resided for several years. Roxanne also enjoyed country and western music, attending both the Merrill Rodeo and Lincoln County Fair, and dining at various Merrill area restaurants.
Survivors besides her mother, Irene Guerin of Merrill, include a sister, Penny Pfortmiller, Merrill; a brother, Robert (Lisa) Kleinschmidt, Merrill; her best friend, Linda Krause, Merrill; and many other relatives and friends. Roxanne is preceded in death by her father, Earl Kleinschmidt, and her stepfather, Dale B. Guerin.
Roxanne’s funeral will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Pine Crest Nursing Home Chapel, Merrill. The Rev. Maurice Schaus will officiate. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. at the nursing home.
