George Rondeau

On April 6th, 2011 at 8:30 PM, George Rondeau went home to be with the Lord.

Born March 10, 1942 in Mosinee, Wisconsin, son of the late Francis Rondeau and Marie (Gertschen) Rondeau. He married Sherry Randall on August 26, 1979 in Merrill.
George attended Spencerian College in Milwaukee, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He worked as a salesman for Folgers Coffee then moved on to work at The Happiness & Tux Shop, and finally coordinator for the Merrill Go-Round before spending many years at the family business, Mosinee Cold Storage. George enjoyed traveling with his wife and family on many trips to Branson, MO, Caribbean Cruises and both the east coast and Florida. One of his favorite loves was fishing. He also enjoyed golfing, spending time with his granddaughters and of course … Fox News.
George is survived by his wife, Sherry, Merrill; mother: Marie Rondeau, Mosinee; son: Paul Rondeau, Palm Springs, CA; three daughters: Kathy (Charles Clarage) Rondeau, Green Bay, Lisa Randall, Minneapolis, MN, and Darcey (Craig) Miller, Rhinelander; two granddaughters: Hannah Miller and Liza Randall; two sisters: Roz (Chuck) Fox, The Villages, FL, and Carol (Homer) Ayvazzadeh, Phoenix, AZ; four brothers: Frank (Grace) Rondeau, John (LaVerne) Rondeau, all of Wausau, Paul (Patricia) Rondeau, Mosinee, and Earl Rondeau, Phoenix, AZ, several nieces, nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Rondeau.
A Funeral Service for George will be held 12:00 PM on April 9, 2011 at Merrill Bible Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
