Lisetta K. Bohman, age 91, formerly of the Town of Rock Falls, died Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Garden Side Crossing in Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
Lisetta was born September 15, 1919, in the Town of Wein, Marathon County, daughter of the late Fred and Martha (Pophal) Wiesman. She married George Bohman on November 20, 1937, in Lincoln County. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1973. Lisetta had been employed at the Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Merrill, from 1947 until her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen Swope, Tomahawk, Lois (Mrs. Charles) Bruns, Edgewood, New Mexico, and Mary Bohman, Irma; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren. Lisetta is preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Welch; two grandsons, Steve and Robert Swope; one granddaughter, Tanya Welch; one great granddaughter, Danielle Pophal; three sisters, Leona and Myrtle Graap, and Mary Ann Young; and two brothers, Carl Pophal, Sr. and Leroy Wiesman.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Burial of her cremated remains will take place this spring in Chat Cemetery, Town of Birch. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
