Gleason Community Club serving area for over 50 years

The Gleason Community Club is a community focused organization that has existed for more than 50 years in the Gleason area. It has over 40 members who are all volunteers. It is an organization that prides itself in gibing back to the community. Current president is Shelly Mondeik, vice president Garret Lapsenberg, treasurer Christine Schram, secretary Denise Beyer and member at large Lori Studzinski. Many of the current members are 2nd and 3rd generation family members of the original members from many years ago.

The Gleason Community Club holds 5 snowmobile/go-kart/ATV winter races in the months of January and February; an Easter egg hunt in the spring; a Fall Thunder event (grass drags, ATV pulls and a fireworks display that will make you keep coming back year after year in August). In November the GCC has their annual Hunters Hall the weekend before hunting season and a kickoff to Christmas event in December where over 200 children attend. They are proud to now join the Merrill Chamber of Commerce.

All money raised by the GCC stays in the community. They currently make donations to the Town of Russell Fire Department and First Responders, and the Merrill Food Pantry. In addition, they sponsor the local Boy Scouts charter. They GCC is always looking for new members and would love for you to join today.

The Gleason Community Club Park is located off Hwy. 17 in Gleason. The community club activities and information are listed on its website at www.gleasoncc.org.
