Wilfred E. Grell, 67, of Merrill, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at his home. He was born March 12, 1943 to Alvin and Hilda (Becker) Grell in Eau Plaine, WI.
Wilfred had worked for Fromm Brothers and as a security guard before retiring from Northern Door Company. He enjoyed playing with his dog Angel, eating, hunting, camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren and family. Wilfred was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Berlin.
Survivors include his daughter Annette “Nettie” (Kevin) Bennetts, Antigo; mother Hilda Grell; grandchildren, Tami (Joshua Wienke) Guite, Heather Jaeger and Jessica (Nicholas) Hebert; step-grandchildren, Justin and Brittnay Bennetts; great-grandchildren, Mckenzie, Macy, Morgan, Rylee and Mylee; sisters, Darlene (Ronald) Kautz, Pine River, Barbara Grell, Rothschild, Lorraine (David) Pryzby, Lansing, IL, and Carol (Gene) Knapp, Wausau; brother Allen (Sandy) Grell, Stratford; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and one son-in-law: Kenneth Guite. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lauretta Guite and his father, Alvin Grell.
Services will be Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at 6 p.m. at Waid Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeffrey Schmidt will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 – 6 p.m.Thursday, also at the funeral home.
