Tomahawk man tasered by deputy

A 40-year old Tomahawk man was arrested last Tuesday evening on criminal charges after a deputy investigated a harassment complaint.

According to the report Todd E. Dotter was driving while intoxicated after a verbal confrontation in the Town of Bradley. A deputy found Dotter a short time later at his residence on Dotter Road and asked him to perform field sobriety tests; Dotter refused and was told he was under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated as a repeat offender. At that time Dotter refused to comply with the deputy’s orders and was subdued by a Taser device.

Dotter was brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, he was also cited for a third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and operating after revocation. At a bond hearing on Wednesday Dotter was released in a signature bond. The Tomahawk Police Department assisted with the arrest.
